Campari group is an Italian producer of wines, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Campari group holds a leading position in the beverage market in Italy and Brazil.
The company was founded in 1860 by the Campari family. Among the founders is the inventor of the eponymous bitter and other alcoholic beverages Gaspar Campari.
The company owns more than 45 brands of beverages, including such as Frangelico liqueur, Cinzano vermouth, Aperol aperitif, Glen Grant whiskey, Wild Turkey, sparkling wine Mondoro, Cinzano Asti, Ouzo Ouzo 12, etc.
In 1919, Aperol was created in Padua by the Barbieri brothers. It was an innovative aperitif with a low alcohol content (11%). Since then, Aperol has become increasingly popular due to its fresh and versatile taste, as well as the ability to combine it with many other drinks. In 2003, Aperol entered the Campari Group portfolio, which led to a further increase in its popularity and availability.
